Land Back Efforts

After seven years of conversation with the donor, the Tongva Taraxat Paxaavxa Land Conservancy officially became a 501(c)3 nonprofit and received the acre of land in late February 2022. The buildings on the land had been severely neglected, and several dumpsters were filled to clear the space of the century of debris that had accumulated there.

If you would like to help us continue our efforts to make our land welcoming to the Tongva people, we encourage you to donate or ideally, give an annual Kuuyam nahwá’a if you are financially able.

We are currently not taking volunteers from outside of our connections. If there are skills you’d like to offer or connections you have, reach out to info@tongva.land.
